Zizzi - Cardiff
Zizzi
Description
Step into Zizzi at Mermaid Quay and let the warm glow of contemporary Italian hospitality sweep you in. Housed in a handsome waterside spot, Zizzi pairs wood-fired pizzas and comforting pastas with a well-selected wine list and generous portions that still feel like a treat. The interior balances high ceilings and cosy seating for an intimate, romantic mood while chefs work the oven just beyond the pass. Friendly servers, approachable prices and scenic bay views make Zizzi a perfect stop for relaxed date nights, birthday dinners or a reliably delicious meal after a Cardiff Bay show. Come for the pizza, stay for the view.

Reviews praise Zizzi's tasty pizzas, pastas and bay views but flag occasional slow service, booking hiccups and inconsistent kitchen timing.
Zizzi is a chain so you do know what you are getting from one city to the next.
This is a restaurant that you can take your other half to and have a nice time.
I haven't eaten at Zizzi for a while, because last time it all turned into a bit of a drama.
The meal was excellent. The service was friendly, yet professional. I will definitely come back again. This review is for the Newport location.
This is a restaurant that you can take your other half to and have a nice time. The high ceilings and smart contemporary but warm decor help smooth things along as you watch the chefs working their wood burning oven. I've been here 3 times and the service has been good the atmosphere convivial and the food tasty. If you can sit along the wall so you can people watch and guess which couples are on a first date. The only problem is parking as St Mary Street in now a pedestrianised so in the day you may have to pay for parking.
