I visited The Sultan last night for a friend's 40th birthday celebration. The restaurant is conveniently located right across from a parking lot, which made things easy. We were promptly seated upon our arrival around 6 pm, when the place was nearly full. The service was quick, and drinks were ordered within minutes. For the table, we opted for a mixed mezze starter that came with freshly baked bread. I also ordered an individual starter—the lobster tail—which was impressively large, with ample meat and delicious flavor. For my main course, I chose the lamb ribs, which were exceptional; there's nothing quite like tender meat cooked over hot coals. The ribs were served with plain rice and a salad topped with pomegranate seeds and a pickle. The salad didn't come with dressing initially, but the staff provided some upon request. I concluded my meal with kunefe, a dessert I hadn't tried before, and it was outstanding—crispy pastry soaked in syrup with a scoop of ice cream on top. The interior of the restaurant was lovely, and the staff was excellent. I'm definitely looking forward to returning. Our group of seven spent £500 in total, averaging about £75 each, including a few beers and a 10% service charge. Overall, I was very impressed. Well done, The Sultan!

The Sultan offers mouthwatering Turkish cuisine. The mezze sharing starter is ample for four people, featuring fresh and delightful flavors. The main courses are incredibly tender and flavorful, leaving us too stuffed to indulge in dessert. The ambiance is charming, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding—definitely deserving of a 5-star rating. I've visited several times and always enjoy it.
