The Gatekeeper
Description
The restaurant received mixed reviews, with some praising the excellent service and affordable prices, while others found cleanliness issues and discrepancies in pricing. The diverse clientele and hardworking staff added to the unique atmosphere. The location was seen as a bit pricey but offered a wide selection of beers and ales. The pub design impressed many, with multiple levels, bars, and seating options. Food quality varied, with some enjoying the traditional Welsh dishes and others finding certain dishes lackluster. Overall, the establishment was considered a convenient option for a quick meal or drink before an event.

It was a total pleasure to join the Welsh guards veterans on there remembrance to the Galahad event they made me welcome and part of the family friends for life respect to the veterans they don't get enough credit and they are a jolly bunch of young lads in a grown man's body thank you for your service each and everyone and the fallen we toasted you boys to
I enjoyed my experience at Weatherspoon. It's what I expected. Puts other restaurants away with their curry Thursday meals. Tops I'll come back for dinner and also the next time I'm here in Cardiff. Way to go guys. Top notch
Great Wetherspoons pub with 2 outdoor areas, which are handy if you want to sit outdoors. Love using the app to order drinks and food. I didn't eat on this occasion, but those with me said it was hot and tasty. Good atmosphere with reasonable prices.
Extremely busy, low staff numbers, waited 40 minutes for our drinks (2 x pints of coke), waited an hour and 15 minutes for food! Extremely hot inside, no air conditioning. Tables hadn't been cleared at all during our 2 hour visit. Staffing levels needs to be better, especially when events are happening! Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
We had our yearly veteran's meet up here yesterday as we have been doing for many years. At least 200 plus of us. One of your doormen was bang out of order, he literally pushed one of our disabled veteran's out and told him he was not allowed back into the premises all because the doorman was physically moving people back behind the barrier you have outside. Now i understand the barrier is there for a purpose and it was extremely busy. All the disabled veteran said to him was do you mind not pushing me to which the doorman became more physical shoving him outside. This is bang out of order and doesn't look good on the weatherspoons image. The doorman in question was mouthing off I'm ex 3 Parachute regiment so it won't be difficult to work out which one. He then proceeded to keep staring at the disabled veterans in an intimidating manor. This will be taken further up the chain. Absolutely appalling treatment.
