The Crofts - Cardiff

Called in for Sunday lunch today for the first time. Very friendly staff. Thats what I like! Dinner was 3 roast meats, all very tender, and a lovely selection of vegetables, including cauliflower cheese. Vegetables were cooked just right. Tasty stuffing balls, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds. Proper welsh gravy was delicious. This was self service. We arrived about 3.30pm. I think the dinner would have been exceptional if we'd gone earlier eg 12.30pm only because the Yorkshire puds would have been a bit softer. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch but sadly I had to leave without telling the staff. If you like a dinner that's like tasty home cooking, you will enjoy this. We will definitely return.

We went for a Sunday carvery. We were late for it so the food had been out for a bit but that was our fault really. There was Pork, Turkey or Beef on when we went, and an option of a vegetarian Mediterranean vegetable tart. We enjoyed our meal and service was good as always. Unfortunately no Real Ale on on that day but usually when we come in there is at least one changing Real Ale on and we really enjoy it. Sports always on in both rooms, and pool tables out the back

Room was very basic but nice and clean staff were great shame no evening meals were availble but would choose this place again.
