This cozy restaurant has evolved into a beloved spot thanks to its high-quality, affordable offerings, particularly for students. With a tempting range of pasta dishes and highly praised breakfast bagels, diners appreciate the reasonable prices and thoughtful 15% student discount. While service can occasionally feel overwhelmed due to demand, the friendly staff are eager to personalize meals to customers' tastes. Quite possibly the best vegetarian breakfast I’ve ever had! Amazing prices, friendly staff, yummy food. If I lived here I’d come here all the time. Thank you so much View all feedback.
What Naomi Allen dislikes about Lilo's:
I was unhappy when I visited this restaurant before, but this time I had a great experience. I ordered a good quality pasta and a Pepsi for around £5 with a discount, and the service has improved since my last visit. The pasta at this restaurant is delicious and high quality, yet very affordable, especially for students. Their small lunch deal is a great value and fills me up easily. The breakfast bagels are fantastic and perfect for a late brunch. This is a great spot for daily breakfast with excellent coffee. A must-try if you live nearby or study at Cardiff University.
I was unhappy when I visited this restaurant before, but this time I had a great experience. I ordered a good quality pasta and a Pepsi for around £5 with a discount, and the service has improved since my last visit. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and disorganized, but it was understandable as they were dealing with a high volume of orders both in person and through Deliveroo. Despite having to wait about 20 minutes for my pasta and hot chocolate, it was a decent meal to start the day. The prices are reasonable, although slightly on the expensive side. The 15% student discount was a nice touch. I haven't tried the bagels yet, but I heard they're popular. In short, the pasta is decent and reasonably priced, but it's probably best to visit during off-peak hours to avoid the rush.
Brilliant place in a very comfortable location. breakfast bagels are beautiful and not too expensive, and the service is extremely fast. highly recommended.
EDIT: Guess when I came here before I was unlucky. Got a good quality medium pasta pepsi for around £5 w/ the discount applied and they've sped up their service since I last came here. Absolutely brilliant! I wish Google did half-stars as this place deserves more than a 3 but doesn't quite warrant a 4. Staff seem a little rushed and disorganised because they seem to receive a lot of orders at once from people phoning in and using Deliveroo etc. Although I did wait quite a while for my pasta and hot chocolate ~20min it was good as a pick-me-up in the morning. Although nothing particularly amazing . Prices are reasonable although a tad on the expensive side? and the 15% Student Discount is very nice. Helps to offset the price a bit I've to try them, but the bagels are quite nice or so I've been told and seen by the fact they're very popular TL;DR Pasta is decent and a decent price, but probably a good idea to order this one through Deliveroo to your dorm/office rather than coming down here in person.
Fantastic food went in yesterday around afternoon time; the staff were super jolly, food is super good; You can swap out sauces and fillings that you don't like for an alternative option (had a meat feast with Bolognese sauce) food tasted wonderful. Venue is really nice, and feels really cozy to be in. Prices are pretty average, good for a nice meal if you only have £5. Definitely would highly recommend this place, nice little gem of a place.
