After waiting for ha... read more I attempted to place a takeout order, but the phone line was consistently busy. This seems to be a common occurrence at this establishment. After waiting for half an hour, I decided to give up and dine elsewhere.

I called the restaurant and was told the correct food woul... read more I ordered two salt and chili boxes which arrived quickly, but unfortunately they were the wrong ones. I called the restaurant and was told the correct food would be brought to me. After waiting a while, I called back and was informed that the restaurant was closing. I was told my food was not on the way and that the food I had was now cold from waiting. I had placed my order at 8:30 and by 9:30, the manager said she would personally deliver my food after closing. However, after waiting until 11PM, it became clear that she had lied and my food was never delivered. I spent £30 on food that was incorrect and cold. The staff, including the manager, misled me and I ended up going to bed hungry and frustrated. I do not recommend this service, the behavior was unacceptable.

With some hesitation, we decided to try Lantern Garden based on their good reviews and proximity to our home. To our delight, the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a chicken lantern box for £9, which included fried rice, chips, chicken balls, sweet and sour chicken, mini spring rolls, and a curry sauce. The food was delivered hot (only delivery available at the moment) for an additional fee of £1.50. We will definitely be returning as regular customers.

Fancied a change and after trying Lantern Garden, we won’t be going back... read more Our first visit today, I’ve been going to the same Chinese takeaway for over 25 years…. Fancied a change and after trying Lantern Garden, we won’t be going back. Probably the best Chinese we’ve ever had! Food was piping hot, super tasty and the rice was soooo light and fluffy.. Will DEFINITELY be back… highly recommended!
