Coffi Co - Cardiff
Coffi Co
Description
Nestled in the vibrant Mermaid Quay, this restaurant boasts stunning views and a varied menu, making it a popular stop for locals and visitors alike. While many patrons rave about the delicious coffee and extensive breakfast options, others report significant service issues, including long waits and missing items. The atmosphere, fostered by diverse clientele, is inviting, yet customer experience seems compromised by an impersonal ordering system and occasional staff frustrations. Despite the mixed feedback on service, the charming views and the quality of food continue to draw guests, who appreciate the establishment's potential. Balancing efficiency with genuine hospitality remains a challenge.

Coffi is a concept. I love it. the staff at the new place is great. I also want to have a coffee at 7 o'clock. good work, people.
Great place. eating looked fantastic! we only had drinks. my son ordered a smoothie he really didn't like too much melone. the personal was great and exchanged it for something else free. great service. I hope people support this place after the dr. Who experience shut down.
I heard it before I saw it. The Spanish guitar lured me into a shipping container housing Coffi Co. Life on the bay, glorious views and the most delightful employee, Huxley with a smile as warm as the sunshine. “I love the music! Thank you. It drew me in.” A perfect combination — passionfruit iced tea, the sea and mellow sounds. I didn’t eat so I can’t comment on the food but the atmosphere was spot on, and the hard edged, grey scale, industrial exterior contained a soft, warm heart. Hugely recommended, but only if Huxley is at the helm. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We arrived for brunch, it was a lovely day to sit outside. We ordered coffee lime cordial, and poached egg and sourdough toast. We waited 15 mins for our drinks and was then told there was no lime so offered blackcurrant instead. In the meantime, used the bathroom, used the last of the toilet paper, told the staff and they said they’d run out as waiting for a delivery. Drank out drinks still enjoying the nice weather waiting for our food. We waited.. asks where food was after 40 minutes and was told there was a 45 minute delay on food which I explained we weren’t told on ordering and she said she had only just started on duty and nothing she could do about it, she wasn’t particularly sorry and I wasn’t the only one waiting a long time, there were other disgruntled people. The waitress that did serve us was apologetic and polite and she did look sorry. The food was not fab, sourdough was stale and no butter on the bread it was very dry. It’s a shame as this place is in a nice location. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
