Cathedral 73 - Cardiff
Cathedral 73
Description
Cathedral 73 offers a variety of dining experiences, with some patrons praising the delightful atmosphere, friendly service, and impressive food quality, particularly during family visits and special occasions. However, inconsistent service has left many feeling disappointed, especially regarding slow wait times and unavailable menu items. Afternoon tea has been critiqued for stale offerings, aside from the redeeming scone. Diners appreciate the modern decor and excellent grazing menus but raise concerns about minor issues like cleanliness and unexpected mishaps. Overall, while there are highlights, the restaurant seems to struggle with consistency in service quality.

I highly recommend Cathedral 73 for a dining experience like no other. The restaurant has a stunning decor that is both elegant and welcoming. Despite its appearance, the atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are incredibly attentive. The food is simply amazing, with flavors that are out of this world. We tried a variety of items from the grazing menu and each dish exceeded our expectations. It was truly the best meal we have had so far. I recommend giving Cathedral 73 a try, as you will not be disappointed. 10/10. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and the surroundings are elegant. The Asia crab salad and peanut granola were both delicious. The staff is superbly attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
23 of us had afternoon tea with no complaints. The venue, food and atmosphere was fab and the staff were great. The selection of sandwiches suited all and the cakes were amazing. Looking forward to go back to try Sunday lunch.
I am writing this review to caution any families considering booking a stay at this hotel....
3 of us had afternoon tea last weekend. I would have scored it 3.5/5 if half points was an option. The service was good and venue was pleasant. Sandwiches were exceptional; neatly cut into uniform fingers with tasty fillings and no dry edges in sight! They were clearly freshly cut. The cucumber and mint filling was especially nice as the combination of flavours worked well and was more sophisticated than the run of the mill sandwich fillings which are normally served in an afternoon tea.
