Menu

Here you will find the menu of Caffi Chapter in Cardiff. At the moment, there are 17 dishes and drinks on the menu.

Chapter has seen better days, with a limited menu primarily featuring an aubergine curry and a sweet potato burger, both of which have received mixed reviews for their quality. However, breakfast options shine, especially the delicious vegan breakfast. The recent menu update boasts an impressive selection of vegan dishes, including a well-curated salad bar and a standout Vietnamese banh mi baguette. While the cakes are delightful, their high prices can be off-putting. Overall, Chapter remains a decent spot for breakfast or casual café visits, especially for diners with dietary restrictions, but improvements are needed in main meal offerings.

Was Ben Kennedy at Caffi Chapter a mag?
Chapter is a Cardiff institution, perhaps the Cardiff institution. For decades it's been a Bierkeller of a space for the capitals artists, guardian readers, activists, greens, queers, disabled, welsh speakers, ... that together fill the hall with a great cacophony of excited sound. (Do seek out the quieter bits round both corners). The menu is mixed, but highly respectful of vegan choice. If only everywhere offered t... View all feedback.

What konlish dislikes about Caffi Chapter:
We discovered this cafe while watching a movie at Chapter. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they offer Vegan options on their menu. Some of the vegan items were unavailable that evening, but they do have Welshmans Lunch vegan cake as well. Though I enjoy their cakes, I found the price for a slice to be a bit expensive at £4. The restaurant has recently launched a new menu with an abundance of vegan choices. The salad bar offers only vegan options, and their full vegan breakfast is delightful. The Vietnamese banh mi baguette is particularly excellent. The menu is clearly labelled and includes a variety of unique options, not just the typical fare.

I think Chapter was better in the past, which is rare these days. The only main dishes available are an aubergine curry (and if I want curry, I'd rather go to an Indian restaurant) and a sweet potato burger that was dry and not worth ordering again. Other than that, they only offer salads so I wouldn't recommend it for a main meal. However, the vegan breakfast is really good so going for breakfast is a good option. They also have a good selection of vegan cakes and offer soy milk.

One of our old haunts ,,restaurant is a bit hit and miss and quite expensive for what it is...the toilets are the bit that really let's it down. Used to be a great place for live bands, however it seems to have lost this element

Sometimes I get my drink as I ask for it, other times I do not. If I want strong I mean strong not weak coffee. Food price through the roof; 5 sterling for tea cake, are you kidding? Atmosphere okay and good place to hang out but theatre pretentious and extortionate. 15 quid to see some amateur with title such as 'fusion of woman , bear and a fridge '. No, I would not attend if you paid me. Cardiff very poor for the arts compared to Edinburgh and Europe. 15 sterling in Europe could buy an opera or ballet ticket. And a decent seat.
