What Nacho Mañoso doesn't like about Chateau St. Martin:
Apparently shocked, surprisingly reformed (even on it). In general very well. Large room, comfortable beds and no noise. And all among the walls of a castle whose tower is S. XII. The perfect location to disconnect, but a few minutes drive from the Cité. It has a very large garden that breathes peace. The very hospitable and helpful owner. Breakfast buffet just but enough. The jams and croissants expectacular. View all feedback.

The desserts were particularly enjoyable. Staff is professional, almost formal, and knowledgeable about what is being served. The safety measures implemented for Covid-19 are good. Despite the impact of covid-19 on tourism in the area, this place has managed to maintain an excellent level of service and is definitely worth a detour.
There's no doubt that, on such an evening, this terrace of a fine old building is a truly lovely location. The food is certainly good, but not outstanding, but the service was delightful. A little formal and traditional, but attentive and helpful with enquiries about the dishes. BUT (and it's a big BUT) we were just unlucky; sitiing there enjoying the peace, just the two of us, and a party of about a dozen people arrived, with four or five children who proceeded to colonise the whole area, turning it into a playground. Is it my imagination, or are people (parents that is) totally de-sensitised to the feelings of others these days? They clearly weren't interested at all in whether their little darlings were annoying other diners, but just glad to let them run around haywire so that they could get on chatting. Neitrher did the restaurant people think to say anything. Strange; I know the current trend is to indulge children to the nth degree, and never tell them off or give them instructions on behaviour, but this was really unfortunate in such a lovely spot. Anyone else have this kind of problem?
It is difficult ,it seems, to find a fine dining in the Carcassonne area on a Monday evening. After a lot of searching we found This restaurant and were delighted. The food was excellent and very efficiently served by two lovely ladies.
Fabulous Michelin standard food, but at considerably less cost. Superb food, lovely wine and excellent, efficient and friendly service in a lovely setting. Definitely worth a visit ! Highly recommended!
The atmosphere and service are unparalleled this is a fairly bold yet accurate way of putting it. The food is always excellent, often complex but there are always simple dishes to fall back on if you are not in the mood for nouveau cuisine. Regulars on the menu such as pigeon you can seldom go wrong with. However, not to knock the restaurant at all, but the real reason anyone should visit this restaurant is to eventually visit the hotel itself. The staff poolside, in the restaurant and on the concierge are impeccably dressed and very personable. I have been going to this hotel and restaurant for over 25 years and can honestly say that the standards have never slipped.
