Grillade Paysanne - Carcans

This restaurant is simply incredible. If you like steak then I think this is possibly the best I've ever had. Our party of 4 all ordered the cote de boef . This is 1kg of steak between 2 and is priced at 21 euros per person. The quantity speaks for itself. I was sceptical whether the flavour and texture would be up to scratch. The steak arrives cut into about 6 strips. It was full of flavour and exceptionally tender. My steak was rare and cooked to perfection. All meat is cooked on a BBQ.The restaurant has a rustic feel to it. We sat out in the garden and it was wonderfully informal. If I had the choice of any restaurant in the world to choose from for a meal, I would find it very hard to look beyond going to this one again.
