Haven't made the trip in several years. Rumor was that the ham and cheese was changed wasn't as good as the old days. I was pleasantly surprised. The infamous Ham Sandwich has changed slightly but was still fantastic. While the writing on the walls might seem janky, the restaurant looked nice and clean. I will return for a pizza next time! What Brian Parker doesn't like about Pizza:
Uninspiring place despite its rave reviews here with locals fawning over what I would classify as overpirced (almost $30 for a mini-pizza, ham cheese sammich 2 drinks? mediocre food in a small-town quaint, yet dingy, atmosphere. Staff was friendly, service was quick, but experience failed to live up to the hype of me driving 20 miles to see what it 's all about . View all feedback.

The best ham and cheese sandwich! We travel all the way from Cullman County just for it.
The best ham and cheese in town! This place is an absolute must-visit if you're nearby.
I hadn't visited this restaurant in several years, and I had heard rumors that the ham and cheese had changed and wasn't as good as it used to be. To my delight, I was pleasantly surprised. The famous ham sandwich has been tweaked a bit, but it was still fantastic. Although the writing on the walls may come off as a bit shabby, the restaurant itself appeared nice and clean. I definitely plan to return next time for a pizza!
