Le crapet - Caraquet

After we were in caraquet a few times, we wanted something else. this place has charming, beautiful view of the water and another menu. we even had to ask the waiter for a few things, because we didn't know what they were. we decided...do 3 apps. these were very small portions with a above price tag. it was delicious. the service was slow, many wait staff, but the kitchen was slowly leached out plates.

We stopped there for oysters, which were delicious!! Owner is really kind and staff made us feel welcome. We even watched the sunset from the patio!! Food was delicious, you can find a bite for everyone, food of all types, strongly recommend !!

Really Worth the detour. Sometime it's a busy place, have a drink and talk to people. usually nobody is in a hurry anyway. Seafod is awsome. I just wish the place was a bit bigger and open during winter but during summer time this one is a real treat. Spent 5 weeks in Caraquet last summer and went to le Crapet 7 times....

We saw the sign asking us to wait to be seated, so we waited quite a few minutes while the two servers moved back and forth past us waiting on tables and sometimes, it seemed, just chatting, only to be told when we asked for outside seating that we could seat ourselves. Once we were seated, though, our server was very attentive and the food and wine were excellent. We did have a bot of trouble getting her to bring us a check and finally just walked to the from to pay. I would definitely go back, though. Their unusual manner did not erase the good meal.

We were here on a very busy Friday night and we presently surprise at how fast and tasty the food was. Only negative, The menu is only in french not english at all but the waitress did go through it with us and explain the different choices..
