My 3rd time here with a group and well worth the 20 min walk from CAPRI center. The food,the service is great and without a reservation they made space for us all without fuss. Its on the way to Arco Naturale with splendid views. View all feedback.
What CuPunga doesn't like about Le Grottelle:
First off, the view is what I believe sets this restaurant apart from others; it is absolutely incredible. The seafood pasta was decent but nothing to write home about. However, what stood out to us is the poor service that was provided. We did not have a reservation and we were asked to wait until a table left, which ended up being around ten minutes. We stopped at Le Grotelle for lunch on a walk around the south east corner of Capri. We visited on a hot day via the Pizzolungo path from the Belvedere Tragara, and the last hundred metres or so are up a series of steep stairs. Consequently, we arrived somewhat sweaty and dishevelled, and frankly any sort of place to sit and recover would have been welcome. But Le Grottelle turned out to be just as reviewed by others – a lovely restaurant in a fabulous location. Our food was a bit disappointing, but we only had a shared salad and some sardines rather than a proper sample of the menu. Luckily, the walk back to Capri Town along the Via Matermania was less demanding.

Very nice place overlooking the Arco Naturale. The ravioli were delicious and my wife was more than happy with her mixed fish grill
Worth the walk from the busy centre of Capri. The view from this restaurant is amazing. A lot of Italians and locals here so make a reservation. The food was good good Italian food. We have had a lot of vegetables and then raw marinated fish excellent.
We were trying to get to another restaurant nearby but after walking uphill so far, we stumbled upon Le Grottelle and they took us in, quickly set up a table, even though they were busy and fed us a wonderful meal with delightful service. we decided later this was where we were really meant to dine that night. We'll be back.
