As we dined, we had a panoramic view of CAPRI’s south side from a high vantage point. In fact, their location is a picture spot. I like the columns and green lattices on top. Service was speedy. My hubby’s prosciutto pizza and my roasted beef salad both looked appetizing, fresh, delicious, right-sized and affordable. Iced tea and my strawberry smoothie were comparatively pricey though but we enjoyed our drinks. Table... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Funicolare:
do not understand the bad reviews, waiter very attentive, and who smart is also ordered a bottle wein and no aperol for 12€, the island is usually expensive as it is with a bottle wein always good. so I can't complain, the look was beautiful and the wine also very delicious View all feedback.
The view is beautiful and the staff is very nice! the pretty good sandwiches, even if a little reduced as size...the pizzas the clashes. prices are the line with Capri..you can imagine. However, I stress the sympathy of the staff
Ok food but the person that was serving us looks like he didn’t want to be there and for sure didn’t want us to be there as well. Mad face like he was doing us a favor .
OK... so this cafe is a tourist trap being at the top of the funicular, and with wonderful views over the island. The price of things is very expensive, especially the drinks... But so is everywhere else on Capri. Dont expect fine dining. Expect what it says on the signs around the cafe, a light lunch. Sandwiches, salad and pizza, fries etc. Which were all very tasty and sufficient, especially with a family and a 3 year old. Staff were polite and attentive, despite it being very busy. I would say the best value was probably the pizza. I'm sure there are probably better, cheaper, more beautiful and better serviced cafes on Capri. But if you are a tourist family with a toddler in tow... Cant beat this place for convenience. Only one toilet though... always a queue.
We sat there from dusk till late in the evening with a couple cocktails and some free snacks that came with the drinks. Fairly priced, great for a view over the island and for people-watching.
