Contribute FeedbackWe love everything about this trattoria and we go as often as possible. handmade pasta and wonderfully cooked meat cuts are our favorite choices, although desserts and a huge wine selection are also worth mentioning. the hotel is located in the heart of the beautiful. caprarola, it's worth a visit. recently we order an evening meal based on wild-board to take it out and it was just perfect. the owners are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. we can't wait to go back!
This place is a sound. we went because it was near the villa farnese. in future we will go to caprarola to eat here, and by the way, maybe they see the villa! a family business with a gracious reception and very well prepared...food often with a difference. pasta alla grigia with extensive pasta works wonderfully good. cinghiale viterbo style is a one-pot, delicate and full of taste. my wife had the organic eggs with truffles; generous with the truffles, simple and delicious. I had venenpolpette (meat balls) that were very good. they also make their own biscotti. locally grown high-quality ingredients, prepared with respect and tradition – but often with an interesting swirl. the hazelnut mousse for example. they do salumi and cheese plates, all local and delicious. we're coming back. By the way, if an earlier reviewer says “I can’t recommend this place very enough” it’s an English way to say that she can’t find the cake to say how much she likes it. it is not a critique, but a high praise.
This small restaurant which is literally yards from Palazzo Farnese is a hidden gem. From the outside it doesn't look much but the food and the service is just excellent. The staff are charming, polite and extremely efficient. The food is obviously freshly cooked and...is of an extremely high standard. I was with a group which included people with some food intolerances and allergies all were catered for without any fuss. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
After a rough start in Caprarola (an Airbnb so so, a disappointing lunch recommendation and a delayed visit to the enchanting gardens of villa Farnese due to full scale spraying against boxwood bugs) my stay was graced by the serendipitous discovery of this gem of...a restaurant. It mustn't have changed a lot since the when it opened thanks to the intelligence and respect of the fourth generation of owners. I had two delicious meals (home made pasta dishes, extra light fried artichokes or local fish done to perfection, a superb tartare of chianina beef) closely supervised by most gracious hosts. Lots of passion in this family affair. Lovely ambiance.
At the foot of one gem such as Palazzo Farnese nothing is better than a nice restaurant to spend the lunch or the dinner after the visit of the magnificent Palazzo. Delicious selection of local foods, homemade pasta, game and genuine cordiality from the family...running the place... worth the trip from Rome or Viterbo!
