We have been coming to Elba for the last 8 years and we always have dinner at least once in Chiasso. They do the best spaghetti with sea urchin i have ever trie... read more We have been coming to Elba for the last 8 years and we always have dinner at least once in Chiasso. They do the best spaghetti with sea urchin i have ever tried, always perfect, al dente and full of the flavour of the sea urchin. We often ordered the spaghetti with lobster which are the most delicious in Capoliveri. In the past years, we felt sometimes that the service could improve but this time the service was absolutely flawless. Price was, it is very correct. We paid for 2 plates of antipasti with octopus, 2 plates of spaghetti with sea urchin, 2 big bottles of water, 2 coffees and a bottle of wine for 30 euros, 100 euros in total, which i think is fine. We will come back every year!!!

The food was delicious and the staff was very nice and welcoming. There’s a really relaxing and warm atmosphere. The restaurant is a bit apart from the center of Capoliveri in a small street, so there aren’t a lot of people or loud noises, which is a welcome change from a long day at the beach. I personally really like the decoration and interior design of the restaurant, it’s the perfect mix between modern/contemporary but still classic and homey, so it doesn’t feel cold or too harsh. It’s really romantic if you’re a couple but also very familyfriendly. I really enjoyed it and would come back anytime!

The choice of meat dishes was was reduced to ONE (they ran out of the others), most likely a way to make us comand the fish (more expensive and maybe even in need to be sold) .My starter was smoked beef wich would have been ok if cutthinner, my main dish a bbef roast that was tasteless with one spoon of mashed potatoes that should better have been tasteless. The one point I have to give they earned with their chocolate cake wich was very good. I can not judge on the price because our friend invited us, in any case it is too expensive.
