Was Torrey Prohaska at Dharma's a mag?
Love the food, the beautiful green plants and the paintings. The food has always been amazing. A little pricey but worth it, the servings are great. I’ve been eating there since 1988 when I was only 9 years old. McDonalds sued them in 1988 when they were called McDharmas and they had to drop the “Mc” View all feedback.
What Alayna Nathe dislikes about Dharma's:
Dharma's is one my family's favorite spots for a healthy, filling and delicious meal. Portions are generous and the food is always fresh and made with so much care. Favorite dishes include the HUGE garden salad, American Saute' and the raspberry tart for dessert. I always recommend it to visiting friends as well! View all feedback.

We got the butternut squash ravioli (which was a house special) with the garlic, basil, and olive oil sauce and it was all so good. The dressing on the salad was super yummy. And the garlic bread was soft and tasty. Very satisfied with this meal and hopeto return.
This is my second or third time back in a very long time. I remembered why I don't come here often and it's not only because it's far. The food is blasé, bland, meh. I got the Nuclear Bluff sandwich. Seems to be soy curls cooked in tomato sauce. Thesandwich doesn't hold together well and is messy to eat. They cheese helped the soy curls stay put. The bread was a littlestale. It tasted okay. It better with hot sauce. The salad was wilted and already going bad, orange at the edges. The tomatoslices were fresh however. I had asked for vegan cheese instead of regular cheese which they accommodated. But they forgot toswitch out the vinaigrette dressing which has honey. Not a huge loss, as it dissuaded me from eating rotting salad. Next timeI'm looking for places to eat in the area, I hope I remember this.
Do not believe the overly positive reviews. The earthy decor and additional exercise we got walking up the hill from the beach were the only plus sides to this whole experience. Where do I begin? To start off, the menu is in complete disarray withdifferent cuisines, sizes, and options making it difficult to order. The prices are downright ridiculous for what is basicallyglorified lunch food (served on the same cheap plastic trays and all! . Furthermore, tips are expected despite having to orderat the counter, pick up food from the counter, and bus our own tables. Once the food arrived we became well aware of ourmistake in coming here. Portions sizes are vast, I?ll give them that, but the food was bland and tasteless. The spaghetti lookedand tasted like plain pasta mixed with canned pasta sauce and the bluff sandwich left much to be desired in terms of flavor. Themajority of the food on the tray were cheap sides like a very plain and basic salad and tortilla chips. I hate to leavenegative reviews for places that provide vegan options but was finding myself feeling sorry for every clueless customer walkingthrough the front doors.
Seriously underwhelming. I really wanted to like this place for its small-town vibe and earthy, vegan offerings. The food was just...not worth it. A $25 bowl of samurai soup was all but tasteless miso broth with some tofu and a few veggies. Theravioli, served with a side salad and garlic bread tasted like airplane food. Right down to the hothouse tomatoes on the salad. Reading the glowing reviews that mention high quality ingredients is a total trip. Completely at odds with my family 'smeal. I HATE writing bad reviews of local restaurants (bad karma, you know)? But I feel a bit cheated paying $60 for a mealfor two with a single 6oz. glass of wine. Sour grapes? Maybe. So I will say that the staff were warm and the wine was goodand cold.
It's our GoTo place for over 20years that serves both vegan and vegetarian dishes exclusively prepared using locally organically grown ingredients. Informal setting with quick service. Very happy to see it survived through the pandemic. Realityis, seeing steep increase in prices.

One of the OG vegetarian Capitola restaurants. Very good portions of food, you won't leave hungry!

I absolutely adore Dharmas. I have been coming here for years and can confirm that their quality and consistency have remained outstanding over time. They have only improved with their delectable specials that often become permanent menu items (like the Nada Chickn Enchiladas, Chickn Chow Mein, Michoacan Mushrooms, etc.). I also appreciate Dharmas for upholding their no cell phone use policy, even though it is more of an honor system and not strictly enforced. The sentiment behind it is what matters, and I wholeheartedly agree with their stance on the matter. Oh, and the potstickers are absolutely amazing!
Food was good and healthy. Service was fine as it’s counter order. Definitely a little expensive for the atmosphere in my opinion but overall fine place to grab a bite. Portions are large so I do think you get your moneys worth. The actual place is a bit more old school in decor and style but it’s a popular spot as it started to fill up around 5:30 when we were leaving.

Really great food selections. Lots of menu options with both vegetarian and vegan options. Spring rolls were wonderful with a bit of mint in them with a great peanut dipping sauce. Also has outdoor seating that's dog friendly.
Delicious vegetarian food that taste really good. I just tried the BLT with Fakin ' Bacon that tasted amazing and the Bo thai noodles was really flavorful and chili and desert and coconut bliss smoothie were all amazing. I 'll want to go back and try some other dishes next time. The curry smelled amazing, too! So I might try that next time I go there.
