I had never been to this restaurant, so when we decided to stop there, I thought, great, I would love to have some Tex-Mex ! The decor was very nice and the menu looked enticing so I had a hard time making a choice. Since I cannot eat beans, I carefully searched for an interesting dish without beans. I honestly don 't remember now what the dish was called, but I think it was nachos, or something similar, with guacamole cheese. When it arrived, first of all it was FULL of beans, a type which I have never before seen and certainly not typical of Tex-Mex. As the service was rather poor, I decided to just push them aside and proceed rather than protest. The nachos were actually chips similar to Doritos, but soggy soft, covered with some melted cheese which didn 't have much flavor. The guacamole was about the worst I 've ever tasted, runny and tasteless, not even close to the real thing. Even in Italy, it is very easy to make good guacamole! That was all I ordered since I don 't eat much for lunch I thought it would be satisfying. I was very wrong, didn 't finish the dish left hungry. I had also ordered a beer, which I rarely drink, and it was brought right away; since the food took a very long time to be brought, by the time it arrived, my beer was hot!! The other members of my group had similar disappointing experiences. I was really looking forward to enjoying a meal reminiscent of my home coming back often, but I 'm afraid it would take a lot to get me to go back again. I also don 't think it would be acceptable at all by American standards, at least not by those who are familiar with the real thing! What a shame the food doesn 't meet up to the menu advertised and the decor.
The menu looked promising, but the food, which was delivered with about 30 minutes delay, did not live up to the pictures in the menu or on the board outside. The guacamole was tasteless and the refried beans had obviosuly been sitting in the hot kitchen for some time. The waiter was clearly distracted and we had to ask for ketchup several times. The location and decor are appealing but unfortunately the food does not do it justice. The wrap and the hot dog were dry.
Nice food a bit too expensive nice ambience very loud Italian people sounds you are in fish market. Food portions are small for the cost you pay. On the whole food was good but very noisy Italians
