Was very surprised to be charged that much for what I got.... read more Went to this country bakery to buy 8 rolls, a pie and a sausage roll with the total coming to $18.00! Was very surprised to be charged that much for what I got...the pastry on the pie was very thick as well as the filling in it. The sausage roll also had thick undercooked pastry with bits of onion skin in the filling mix.The service was rude, wouldn't hurt to smile at your customers. Was very disappointing and wont be back.

When we chanc... read more Whilst we were recently down south, we decided to do a slight detour through Capel. The streets we drove down were both clean and well maintained. When we chanced upon the local Bakery, we couldn’t help going in and checking it out. Everything from the cream donuts to the beef pies, looked so fresh and inviting. After much thought we decided on an apple slice, a pastie, a loaf of bread and a coffee to go. My wife commented that the pastie was probably the best she had tasted in years. It was just like those of old with all the vegies chopped up fine and well mixed in. My coffee and slice was also top notch too. Later that night, we tried the wonderful wholemeal bread. All I hear now is when are we going back to Capel so we can try some more of their produce. Yeah, are making future plans on going back.
