This charming little restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Inside, there's plenty to explore, including "Anna," the famous Kap Vincent boot, which can be found in various artistic forms adorning the walls. It's a cozy spot that features a bar and a small gift shop at the entrance, where you can also find freshly baked goods. While the prices for dining are somewhat on the higher side, they're typical for a tourist city and a semi-formal restaurant. The food is quite good, with a diverse menu to choose from. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in town!
It took a few minutes to take our order first after sitting, but the staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was super scorching. eating was absolutely delicious and I can't expect to visit again when we are in the north! I am still in the thought of the jumbo bacon cheddar biscuit I ordered! oh and the coffee, although $3 for a cup, was amazing!
One our favorites. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful. I have food issues and the staff is always willing to ask the kitchen what I can have. The pot roast tonight was so tender it melted in my mouth!!! So, so good.
This place is a hidden gem! The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. She shared her family stories and explained the history of her restaurant, which made the experience even more special. Everything we ordered was fresh and absolutely delicious. It’s truly a fantastic spot, even serving their sandwiches on freshly baked bread. The broth, cookies, and baked goods here are so good that they sell out quickly! We will definitely come back when we visit the area again in the summer. A big thank you for the cookies for the little ones—they devoured them and had sweet chocolatey smiles!
For starters, I had the French onion soup, which was very flavorful, topped with plenty of rich, melted Swiss cheese. My friend ordered the clam chowder, which he said was excellent. For my main course, I had the fried fish tacos, filled with fresh fish, lettuce, and tomato salsa. It came with a side of cilantro rice, which was delicious, but I couldn’t finish it because it was so filling. My friend ordered the prime rib sandwich, which was messy to eat but absolutely succulent. It was served with homemade potato chips. The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed; I think there were only two of them serving a packed house. My friend struggled to get someone’s attention for an extra glass of ice. Additionally, I noticed one server apologizing to two different tables for getting their orders wrong. We ordered soup bowls but later realized we were charged $7 each instead of the $4 we expected. There were some very tempting baked goods on the counter when we paid the bill, including gluten-free brownies, and a charming little gift shop right at the entrance. My recommendation is to give this restaurant a try, but it might be better to visit when it's less busy.
