The Cassowary - Cape Tribulation

I have read the reviews before I went to the restaurant, but decided to give them the advantage of the doubt. I should have trusted my bauch. it felt more like a school or university cant. it was pasta night and very simple and they lacked some options from the menu, which meant that it was very limited. the meal had barely meat or cheese, as they had run out and only linguins were available. they had also known from certain weepings. this place would be suitable for people with small children, but I would not recommend for couples looking for a good meal.

Food was exceptional Service outstanding ..............except for meals being sent to a different table Chef not following the meal requested. Asked for salad instead of vegy's got a bowl on the side that i paid for as a side meal and fish put under rice. Swordfish was very dry however i have not eaten Swordfish before so this maybe a characteristic of the fish. Location Perfect Choice Very Bad, only 5 different meals. Breakfast only cereal offered. Dinner Menu not a big verity. Deserts in 7 nights could only order ice cream only one night could we have ordered something different. Drinks always running low on stock soft drink mixes. with the friendly staff these things can be overlooked as the staff make up for any mistakes made, however a bigger choice and variety would be a big bonus.

Pasta night is a real let down. Partner ordered beef pasta with penne but only had linguine, which is fine. Pasta had no meat, was virtually just sauce and pasta. No garlic bread available which was a shame. The place has zero ambience and staff are a bit rude. Overall, not a great experience and definitely won't be back.

Dinner menu was great shared platter was ourstanding and great value! Breakfast service was not good 45 minute wait and not good eggs and bacon. Floor was filthy from a family with 2 babies the night before No music at any time which would be great.

Server got our order wrong and when I asked them to correct it, they took it away and never brought it back! Worst and most expensive breakfast! Terrible service
