Trendy Spot at the Drury Inn. Pricewise similar to a chain steakhouse, but wow it is delicious. Interesting flavors, most of which we really enjoyed! I especially recommend the deviled egg appetizer. Amazing. We went early and sat right away, but it is filled quickly so I recommend reservations. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Southerner:
had a date here. eating and atmosphere were decent. I had the pulled gayemac and my fiancé had the nugget cats. she didn’t like it as much as sandy’s, she said there was not much taste in it. my giggling was mostly tender. we'll come back and try some more dishes. View all feedback.
There are many parking spaces. We wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday, but we had 7 people at our party. It was too busy a Saturday. Unfortunately, the waiting period has exceeded 45 minutes, so we went somewhere else this evening. I discussed earlier this week to make a reservation, but never. Next time we have 4 or more people I'm calling! My husband and I went on Friday night. Don't wait. Political and warm greeting from the hostess. We sat on a high table. Our waitress, Sofia, was absolutely wonderful. She is very personal, attentive and recommendations were great! She brought a bright cleanser of sliced onions, squash and butter bread picks. The food? Phenomena. Pricey, but it's worth it. I ordered fried green tomatoes and crabcakes. My husband had the Not Your Mama's Meatloaf. We ordered starters from brussel sprouts, Mawmaw's hush puppies and gouda Mac Cheese. Good portion sizes and had many remains to take home. I had 2 drinks - Tickle Me Pink Martini and The Bee Sting. I'd go back to Legit only for these drinks! My husband had the Basil Hayden Old Fashioned Southerner, who was super good again. The restaurant is very small, such a cramped. This is our only case. Overall, great experience. We will definitely eat again here.

We were through and the menu looked good so we stopped. We sat immediately and our server was attentive by dinner. These pickles! They brought a record of pickles-onion, squash, zucchini, cucumbers and paprika that were really good. I had the meat with green beans and could throw Brussels spears for the potatoes. The green beans were the Haricots verts and had a lot of bacon and only a slight sharp kick. The Brussels sprouts were braided and weakened. The meat pig was pretty good. It already comes with a ketchup sauce not mentioned on the menu. I'd probably ask that next time. It came with a bread plate that had a piece of corn bread that reminded me of hot water corn bread I had. It's not sweet and so good. The other bread on the plate had cheese in it and a crispy texture. It reminded me of a light grain bread, but the server told me it was based on some kind of cookie. My partner had the Hamburger and Fritten that he enjoyed. We will definitely come back and try some other things on the menu as we travel through this area quite a bit.
Nice restaurant with some items that were a new twist for us. The deviled eggs prepared 3 ways were an interesting take on this dish and the flavors were vibrant and worked well together. The steaks were very good, on par with a steakhouse. Conveniently located within the Drury Inn Plaza hotel it was an enjoyable dining experience.
