My partner and I swung by to see if we could get a table, they ended up being full that night so we asked if there was a booking the following evening (Sunday). The owner/server seemed super hesitant to give us that slot, but he did reluctantly and began telling us what to expect with the menu. He seemed irritated that I didn’t eat meat and somewhat patronising about allergens. We arrived the next evening to a beautiful setting but to a fairly frosty reception from the owner/server. Long story short, we had our different courses but we weren't spoken to when plates were collected, there was no checking in/how is the food the main feeling was we were made to feel unwelcome. At the end of the meal (of which we weren’t sure it was the last stage), we sat for 35mins without any direction or offer of a coffee/tea/anything. At this point there were 4 other parties mid course, the server managing them all. My partner got up to pay and we didn’t leave a tip. Suggestion if you weren’t able to fit us in, don’t fit us in. I’m sure we would have been able to find a subpar over priced meal much closer to our hotel. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

(Hence no photos, we wanted to enjoy the ambience to the fullest) We were incredibly lucky because you can't actually get a seat without a reservation, but a couple didn't show up and so we were able to take part in this great menu. From start to finish everything was really perfect here. You just have to get involved. What we really liked was that the natural flavor components were brought out wonderfully.
