Was SwizerlandRoisinDubh at Asia a mag?
Location is the best on the Park Hyatt property. View blows you away: the food did not fully do so though. Service was top. Some dishes were wow (lobster dumplings, tuna , some were plain mediocre (chicken and the crême brûlée that was not bruleed at all: just plain sugar... . View can compensate a lot but not all.... What andrewbE1022RR dislikes about Asia:
During our stay at this hotel the staff were amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and this showed at Asia restaurant. My OH had a main course of Chicken Rendang which was not good. This was replaced immediately with smile and genuine concern. Later, when there was nothing on the dessert list that I liked, another was brought over from the sister restaurant...again with a smile. Unfortunately, the food does not quite... View all feedback.

We had the four courses of the set meal at Asia, I an honestly say that they were all excellent. I've always said that Peking Duck with pancakes are one of my favourite meals, and the version at Asia was the best I've ever eaten! Superb food. We even went back the next night to have the desert again.

The Asia restaurant was the culinary experience I was really looking for when arriving at The Park Hyatt. The views from the restaurant are very beautiful, depending on where you are seated. You have to be clear when booking the table with the restaurant. Having booked around a week before arrival by email, we were seated at the very end of the terrace with no view, almost forgotten by the service after our order. The service was certainly not to the level of a 5 star hotel. We ordered a bottle of wine and some water, the waitress left them at the far end of our table, never coming back to fill in our empty glasses. I had to stand up to reach the bottle and help myself during all dinner. We arrived at 20:30 for the dinner and left the restaurant 2 hours later : after the starters, the service forgot our main dishes and we finally received them at 22:00 after we reminded them that we had been waiting for too long. Thereafter, no one came to remove the main dishes or propose us desert or coffee. They plainly excused themselves pretending that they had mixed up tickets and that the situation was exceptional. To compensate for the unpleasant experience, they offered ... us a bowl of edamame! The food was good. However I must say I have eaten in better Asian restaurants. I would highly suggest ordering the lobster dumplings and the Toro, which were very special and delicious. We would not renew the experience at the Asia restaurant in Park Hyatt.

At the Park Hyatt Mallorca Hotel, although they had a wide range of activities and beautiful rooms, their range of food, was not one that went beyond mainly Spanish dishes, and me and my dad were completely fine with it, as we were in Spain, and wanted to exploit ourselves to the culinary world of Mallorca. But when the main kind of foods their traditional style Spanish restaurants served were not agreeing with my dietary restrictions, when we heard of the Asia Restaurant, we were completely intrigued. By use of classic and fresh Spanish products, in the form of nuanced Japanese dishes, the Asia Restaurant was one of the best Asian restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. From their gourmet take on chicken teriyaki, to the Giardo French oysters, they were able to fully commit to their slight Spanish take on Japanese cuisine. And it is one hundred percent a place where something you do not enjoy, can become something you do, as each and every element of flavor is handled to perfection. And in terms of service, it was honestly so above and beyond in every way shape and form. They had each dish prepared in outstanding time, while still giving us time to reflect on the dish we had just had. Every employee gave some of the best culinary advice, and I cannot wait to come back, and see what new appetizer they have in store!

I have been wanting to try Asia at the Hyatt for a while but never seemed to have the opportunity, so when my mum was visiting and we wanted to go somewhere a little more special we thought it was perfect opportunity. Firstly, I want to say a big thank you to Issmal our Waiter. He was very welcoming and attentive to all our needs without being intrusive. He is a complete credit to the Hyatt and really made our evening special. So a huge thanks to Issmal! The food was delicious, in particular the seaweed salad starter and Toro (raw red tuna). I can highly recommend the Pisco Sour cocktail it was awesome. The surroundings of Asia was lovely and I will definitely be returning. A big yes from me!!!
