On Friday night for dinner. they never expect much from an on-site restaurant, but we were here surprised! great service and perfect eating. everything in all something pricy for the situation, but we enjoyed a good dinner. accompanied with something...good brot we enjoyed our starter (fishtar,) a main (cchisine burger and grilled fish) and we skipped the dessert. very delicious food and made by a good cook. in portions is good and we loved the outside seats with nearby harbour views. it is also possible to dinate inside behind large windows, where they can also observe the harbour.
Someone should get in and show them how easy it is to make great food and have good service, this place just doesn't get it. I fear they will never
We spent 4 summers in a raw in Cap d 'Ail and have never been great fans of the restaurant. The food was always mediocre (avoid fish by all means). But this summer was a real downgrader with a new restaurant manager. Vey rude he totally...spoiled what could be a good evening (the location is still great). Need to find a business card I 've collected from this manager to share his name here.
We had cesar salads. The romaine lettuce was fine but the cesar dressing didn't taste like a cesar at all which was disappointing for a Marriott hotel, I know the tendency now is to purchase ready made dressing but still an exec. chef in a...place like this one should know how to make a cesar dressing otherwise call it another name. Putting croutons and grated cheese on romaine doesn't make it a cesar. Service was fine and waitress attentive. I didn't complain to her.
