I chose the selection of salumi (a wide and rich variety of cold cuts of exquisite quality , and the (home made pasta with wild boar stew: well, I’ve been around, living in Italy for nearly 14 years, but this is probably the best I’ve had so far. Not the stew where you can smell and feel it has been prepared weeks ago, with sub-standard quality boar. No, this was the real thing, with fresh juniper and rosemary, and perfectly spiced. Dessert was fab too: fresh fruit, freshly made sabayon (perfect! and lush warm dark chocolate. If one pictures with this a stubborn selection of almost unknown but carefully chosen local wines (but, YES the Sinsäl Gutturnio Superiore 2016 was picture perfect . Attentive and caring service... so... should you ever be in the vicinity of: Milan, Piacenza or Parma... do make the detour!

They let us park our motorbike i... read more We stayed for 1 night; very nice Diner , great wine, modern new bedrooms; there was a wedding onsite but we did not hear a bit! They let us park our motorbike inside the old house , that was very kind, so we did not have to unpack all.. And all this to a very affordable price! I keep this address as a nice stopover in my favorites! (though I'm sure it is worth much more than a stop over)

Starters were sumptuous and tasty, a plate of local meats served with delicious warm bread shaped like ravioli, followed by an exquisite risotto. A local Vignamorello Gutturnio Superiore 2015 was the perfect accompaniment. Highly recommended.
