My wife and I try and visit the Havana Bar every Friday to listen to the entertainment (Jack) from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, we really enjoy listening to all of our favorite oldies. The country band West Texas takes over at 9pm and they sound great. The service and food is great as well. Good Times and not on our budget, we are both retired. Everyone should try it out. What Bertie Zavala doesn't like about Havana Grill:
Image taking care of a very elderly senior. And the Havana bar playing loud music on their patio with no regard for the elderly residents that have lived years on the street behind the bar. No respect for individuals trying to rest in their home. The almighty dollar is the only thing this owner cares about. I will be calling to report noise complaint. I've measured the decimal range WAY OVER THE LEGAL RANGE. View all feedback.
If I could put a 0 I would this is the worst place I have experienced, I’ve traveled too many places and lived here in El Paso and I have never experienced such HORRIBLE service, food and just overall everything. I just want you to save your money and time do not go here. They apparently did not have half the menu the night I went, the restaurant was empty and the servers were not checking for anything, food took over an hour even maybe 2 some of the people canceled the order because tickets were lost WHEN THE RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY such a horrible experience will never even step foot in this place again.
The food is not really Cuban, more Mexican than anything else. Service was great. All the Google Maps pictures are old from a prior menu. Would not visit again :
This place has so much potential...here comes the ugly but , service is slow and inconsistent. Probably because they are understaffed. My wife and I decided to check it out, place looks awesome, big stage, big dance floor. We ordered something simple, super nachos. They took forever. So decided to go check what the hold up was. The plate was just sitting there at the bar, no one took the time to deliver it. The food was cold. In the flip side, the band was rocking, the atmosphere was cool. I would work on service, slow and just not there. Get more staff, put more good bands on stage, get the crowds in. Well give it another try.
We went to have dinner at this establishment and sat at the bar. Christina was very nice, courteous and served us our drinks right away. Priscilla, the other bartender was awesome as well. The owner, who made us feel welcome, provided us with a lot of details about his establishment and additional plans in the works, so we got pretty excited in knowing that we would be there, seeing his plans come to fruition. We can't wait to go on a weekend to take advantage of all the things we can do there. This place even has a gaming room with slot machines and a very large, but cozy cigar room, for those that partake. It is separate from everything else, so no one else outside that room would even smell the cigars. You can have your drink outside in their beer garden or massive patio. If you need somewhere to hold a private event or party, this place has a lot of outside room and they will even cater your event! The owner brings in live music and DJs for dancing. We were told that there are events that will be held soon, such as Retro night and 80's costume contest. The ladies' restroom is vast and elegant, with a lot of enormous mirrors. The wooden dance floor is pretty large as well, with lots of room for dancing. For anyone that is interested, you can find them on Facebook for the Retro night and 80's costume contest and other future events.I will update my review once my husband and I go and hit the dance floor!
The service was great and the scenery is totalally amazing! Loved the Havana and plan on going back.
