Consistency make customers to return. Seafood King is one of that few. Have been visiting Seafood King for little over a year and very time the Gumbo taste, texture, and portion is the same. Simply delicious! My other pick is Gator in a basket or Po?Boy can?t go wrong. The seafood freshness can be oversized true very bite of a Boiled Seafood platter. The place is supper clean with 6 boots, 4 small, and 2 long tables.... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Seafood King:
This was by far the worst experience I?ve had with a seafood servicing restaurant? nobody wants dry unseasoned food. They charged 27 for the snow crab boil and it wasn?t worth it at all. I?ll never eat there again, if this is what black owned businesses are like I?d pass up on it all the time!!! Nastiest food ever!!!!! View all feedback.
I ordered a fish plate, and when I did, I was informed that it came with a drink. I mentioned that I only wanted water, as I avoid sugary drinks. The server gave me a clear cup, but it didn't have a matching lid, so I requested a different cup. She told me that if I ordered water, it had to be in the clear cup. But I was under the impression that the drink was included with the fish plate I ordered. The restaurant itself had a run-down feel, with dirty tables and floors, and the fish was dark and tasted like old grease.
The food was terrible. The crab legs were cold and overcooked, and the corn, potatoes, and sausage were also cold. The eggs were cold too. I will not be returning. The food was completely unseasoned, and it felt like a waste of money!
They tell you one thing over the phone, and then you drive 30 to 40 minutes out of your way, only to find out it wasn't true when you arrive. I'm sorry, but you've lost a loyal customer. This has happened to me two or three times.
Consistency keeps customers coming back, and Seafood King is one of those rare places. I’ve been visiting Seafood King for a little over a year, and every time, the gumbo's taste, texture, and portion size remain the same—simply delicious! My other favorites are the gator in a basket or the po’ boy; you can't go wrong with either. The seafood is incredibly fresh with every bite of the boiled seafood platter. The restaurant is very clean and has six booths, along with four small tables and two larger ones. They also offer catering services, and I noticed people ordering beer buckets alongside the unsweetened tea with a lemon slice, just as it should be! It’s easily accessible from I-55 and staffed by friendly and pleasant individuals, making the dining experience feel like home.
I had a terrible experience at this seafood restaurant. The food was dry and lacked flavor, which is not what anyone wants. They charged $27 for the snow crab boil, and it simply wasn't worth it. I won’t be going back again. If this is representative of black-owned businesses, I would steer clear of them altogether. The food was the worst I've ever had!
