Carvel - Canton

To the management of the Ford Rd store: My experience here should have been enjoyable, but it was completely ruined by the unwelcoming attitude and rude comments from the staff. I’d like to suggest that you reconsider your approach to customer service. It’s disappointing that customers no longer get to enjoy soft serve ice cream at your shop.

On the day of my grandson's birthday, my daughter called to let me know that she had stopped by Baskin-Robbins for an ice cream cake, but unfortunately, they were out of stock. So, I decided to call Carvel. They had cakes available and kindly offered to write "Happy Birthday" on it for us. The employee was incredibly pleasant both on the phone and when we picked up the cake. I was also able to purchase candles there. It all contributed to a fantastic celebration!

I really love the ice cream here, but the hours of operation are not reliable. I can never tell when they are going to open or close. They need to update both their Google listing and the information on their door. I drove all the way from Belleville, and once again, they were closed well before the stated closing time, which is really frustrating.

Gary, the owner, went above and beyond to assist me in creating and personally delivering a cake for one of my best friends. I live in northern Michigan, and since my friend in Canton had a birthday this week, I wanted to surprise them with a special treat. So, I called Carvel and explained my situation to Gary. He truly exceeded my expectations by helping me design a beautiful cake featuring chocolate chip cookie ice cream treats, which are my friend’s favorite. Additionally, he kindly delivered the cake personally.

Overall, it made for a wonderful celebration!
