What Z0siaB doesn't like about The Shakespeare:
The staff are very friendly and the pub mixes traditional with modern and the menu is varied. The cheeseburgers were huge and tasty but a touch dry. The fish and chips however, were disappointing the breading was soggy and greasy not at all a pleasant dining experience. View all feedback. What User likes about The Shakespeare:
visited in a Saturday at 1:30 a.m. for a bit lunch. I found a table and ordered cash. a star lost as one of the courts we wanted was not available. nice to visit again when in the city. View all feedback.

read moreNestled in the heart of Canterbury, this charming pub presents a delightful blend of traditional and modern aesthetics, complemented by a diverse menu. While the friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere, experiences with service vary; some patrons report delays and mishaps, such as spilled drinks without amends. Culinary delights include hearty burgers and beautifully executed fish and chips, although not all dishes have met expectations, with some described as bland or poorly prepared. Despite mixed reviews on food quality, the pub remains a cozy spot for drinks and casual dining, appealing to those seeking a laid-back lunch away from crowded main streets.
