What bromley br1 doesn't like about The Forge:
For such an affluent and trendy place I am surprised that there are no gluten free options at this place. Nevertheless, my husband went elsewhere to get something gf and I ordered cod and chips. The cod was nice but very small and the chips were not fresh, they were frozen rubbish. Such a shame as I’d like less chips but at least be fresh potatoes. A lovely casual oyster shack with a sea view. The service was great and the oysters fresh, with cold beer and a fair selection of wines. Whether you grabbing a coffee for the walk, or wanting to have an early evening drink with a few oysters this spot is the spot. Visited during the week, and it wasn't overly busy can imagine it to be very popular on the weekends as it ticks all the boxes. View all feedback.

read moreNestled along the picturesque seafront, this trendy oyster shack offers a casual dining experience, featuring fresh local seafood and a delightful view. While diners praise the exceptional fish and chips and the excellent cod, some have expressed disappointment over the limited gluten-free options and inconsistent quality of oysters. Although many enjoyed their meals in a friendly atmosphere with quick service, a few unfortunate patrons reported food poisoning after consuming oysters. Overall, the restaurant remains a popular choice for those seeking fresh seafood and a pleasant alfresco dining experience, despite some mixed reviews regarding specific dishes.
