Starbucks - Canterbury

I frequent Starbucks often to sit and work. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I have seen rude customers treat them with such disrespect, even though they are just doing their job. Kudos to the staff! I couldn't fault any of them.

The atmosphere was very relaxing at this restaurant. Amy and Mia were very patient in explaining the various types of coffees available, and recommended the blonde roast, which was fantastic! I highly recommend this place, the staff were great.

Located right next to the Travelodge Whistable, which is great, this restaurant was convenient but left much to be desired. I visited twice to pick up coffee and breakfast to go. The employee behind the counter seemed very unhappy when I asked for a ham and cheese croissant, simply pointing to the cabinet and saying "if we've got any, they're down there." I ordered two croissants and asked for them to be warmed up, along with two coffees. I paid £14 and waited for my order, receiving no pleasantries or smiles from the employee. On my second visit, with only the croissants on the menu this time, I encountered the same unfriendly service. The employees displayed a lack of customer service skills, with one even handling dirty trays and then serving my food without washing her hands. I was unimpressed with their attitude and believe they could benefit from some retraining in customer service.

Ok, but not great value and a quite limited choice of food. We visited on a very hot afternoon so may not have caught them at their best but will probably try another outlet next time.

I have been here a few times when staying in the nearby hotel that does not have a restaurant. Serves the standard Starbucks coffee and fare Friendly staff. Would be useful if it stayed open till 08:00 pm every day!
