We came here for a spontaneous meal on our anniversary and it was fantastic. We sat at the bar and enjoyed delicious cocktails that the owner recommended. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful evening. The restaurant has a quaint and cozy atmosphere. The ribs were so tender and flavorful. The cocktails were exceptional and really topped off our dining experience. I highly recommend this place and would rat... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Oyster And Chop House:
The meal was alright and the service was excellent, but it was quite pricey. The ribs were £17 and then there were additional charges for chips and coleslaw, bringing the total to around £23.50. I have never had a meal outdoors where the dining experience was individual. It was a bit strange and expensive. View all feedback.
We visited last year and had a wonderful experience with inexpensive, tasty eating. I brought the whole family back for my 4 year old birthday meal over the august bank holidays weekend. the prices were almost doubled and the food was at best moderate. The...£20 lobster mac n cheese had changed from a large part of the Gooey delicacies to a £31.50 child size part of the Bland cheese sauce. over the half of the muddles were still closed and the bbq was dry. the part of the child was hardly big enough to feed a 2 year old. worse was the service. I guess it was a busy weekend and they were fully booked, but we felt like we were an inconvenience there. we were harassed when we had set ourselves for our order and even when we had asked for a few minutes to find my 93-year-old grandmother her glasses and read the menu, we were harassed after about 45 seconds. the tellers were taken away in the second time that we put the cutlery down, regardless of all eating. my 4 years old was even told by a waitress in a west top, they need to eat faster charlie, it is a bank holiday they knew they quickly disserted his, but it was good 20 minutes before someone asked the rest of the table whether we wanted coffee or dessert (of which we felt so comfortable that we wanted to get out). very disappointing visit I will not make again. really remained so much money for average food and terrible service to pay.
Stumbled across this place which is two streets back from the beach. Service was exemplary and the food was just amazingly delicious. We will definitely be going back!!
Another amazing meal at this gem of a place. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing. If you like ribs then thel full rack is enormous and as for the beef rib... this is never from a cow, more like a triceratops rib....Have booked a table once a month for the next 6 months
2nd visit here from Dover Absolutely outstanding customer service again, nothing was too much trouble the food cocktails were amazing again Thank you Highly recommend
Oh dear, it’s such a shame the food was so terrible as the staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome! The menu is strange as it’s price by the meat, rather than the whole dish. You choose the meat then add the sides...(like chips, jacket potato, vegetables etc) at an additional charge. I ordered the combo, with cheesy chips as the ‘side’ to complete the dish. Unfortunately the pulled pork was dry and flavourless without any sauce. The chicken was CREMATED beyond recognition….I thought it had BBQ sauce on top, but no, it was charcoaled skin! It had clearly been fried to death, then grilled to beyond burnt!! The BBQ ribs were nice but didn’t come with BBQ sauce!! The cheesy chips had a strange seasoning. In usual British style, we didn’t complain and just ate what we could and got out of there fast. A disappointing last meal out on our holiday!
