Coyote's Coffee Den - Cañon City

On our way back to Denver from the Royal Gorge, we encountered some car troubles and had to exit the highway. Fortunately, we stumbled upon Coyotes Coffee Den, which was open until 8:00 PM. We enjoyed a delightful dinner that included hot drinks, a fresh sandwich, and the most amazing chili. We even managed to do a bit of gift shopping while we waited for our car to be towed. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs.

I have been visiting Penrose for takeout my entire life, and my favorite spot when I'm there is Coyote's Den. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, and the food is always tasty. The green chili in the breakfast burrito was mild but packed with flavor. The cookies in the biscuits and gravy were perfectly made. The terrace was beautifully adorned with vibrant scarlet colors and gourds, making it feel like fall had truly arrived. We tried the cherry blossom cedar drink, which sounded unusual at first but turned out to be a delightful autumn treat. Fun games like horseshoes kept our family entertained before we headed home. We didn’t take any food photos because we were too hungry, but everything was absolutely delicious!

We visited my daughter Sil, who is a local, because it's her favorite brunch spot, and it did not disappoint! The cookies were the best we've ever had—we’ve tried a lot! The sausage in the dish had just the right amount of heat to bring out all the flavors. The hash browns were fresh and cooked perfectly. I had the blueberry dish, which was a delightful combination of fluffy cookies, sweet blueberries, and a hint of lemon. It was so delicious! We'll definitely be back whenever we're in the area!

Unbelievable! The line on a Sunday at 10:30 will tell you that you need to know. The food is perfect, the service is friendly- even if they were lubricated, but the best part is the atmosphere. Outdoor terrace that allows dogs, tons or leaves, and fantastic decoration that you feel at home. Always coming to this great place.

Love everything about this place! Inside, outside area, the employees, the food, the APPLE PIE, just the overall feel of the place! It is a bakery, cafe, coffee shop, gift shop, and a great place to have a few drinks. Yes, they serve liquor! There is a Merchantile in the same parking lot, but it was closed the day we were there, Sunday. If you are in the area, you must go here!!!
