Wow! Such a charming spot located in Canonsburg, Michigan. Cozy atmosphere. I love the “Liquor“ flashing sign on the very tip top of the roof. It’s fun to look at all of the old beer taps lining the room. And they have a payphone! Honey Creek definitely has mastered the fried fish and french fries. The pickle soup was flavorful, but a little floury from my taste. I’d probably try it again though because it really was... View all feedback.
What Kathleen Shaffer doesn't like about Honey Creek Inn:
We came in with a large group, and there was only one waitress working, but even then our order took 45 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got it. The wait was just incredibly long for each part of our service, such as getting the bill and such. The food did taste pretty good, we were just disappointed by how long View all feedback.
Perch and chips was great. Loved the tartar sauce. Very quick service. Kindly accommodated my friends gluten needs. Would go back.
Stopped in after thenTrump rally, it was a nice place to unwind after a fun filled day
This place has changed in the worst way. The menu stayed the same forever (in a good way) with classic bar food selections at reasonable prices. It was a really fun historic old feeling bar with tons of character. I 'm not sure what happened, but over the course of the last couple of years, they 've seemingly attempted to go more upscale slashing tons of their delicious bar food options and replacing it with rich heavy 'upscale ' options that are done somewhat half heartedly. Honestly really bummed that they 've shifted gears because I feel like all the old Irish bar character was swiped away in an attempt to get fancy. And now it 's neither here nor there they 've got the atmosphere and casual low grade service of an old bar, but now with mostly expensive upscale food that isn 't very good. Granted they have retained a couple bar food fried options, but they 're $15 20 for a fish/chicken basket. Anyways, others might not agree, but this is my perspective as a neighbor who used to come here weekly and now will rarely return.
Had the bluegill and truffle fries absolutely delicious! Both were seasoned just right and fried to perfection.
Just around the corner for me to have some good food. There fried fish is always a winner
