As a family, we love the OK Diner, and I was worried that if my family member went vegan, it would mean I couldn't indulge in my favorite American road trip flavors. Fortunately, they offer a variety of vegan options on their extensive menu. This update is based on the previous review from August 19, 2021. View all feedback.

It's a popular and nice restaurant with good quality food. I dined in for lunch, and the price per person was around £40–50. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4 as well.

I ordered the Vegan Breakfast, which included mushrooms, baked beans, two hash browns, a halved tomato, and a piece of toast cut diagonally. However, I felt it was lacking in what many now refer to as 'protein.' I believe it would have been better with the addition of vegan sausages and/or some mashed or sliced avocado. Given the higher price, I would have expected more to be satisfied. On the positive side, the food was well cooked, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean and tidy, set in a classic American diner style, which I found quite cool. I also had a filter coffee with oat milk, the sole non-dairy option available. Personally, I believe that soy or almond milk pairs better with coffee, but that's a matter of personal preference.
I used to enjoy this place and visited regularly, but I won't be returning after being hit with a $100 parking charge following my meal. I wasn't informed that I needed to enter my vehicle's registration number into their system, and now I'm stuck paying for parking – it's ridiculous. The restaurant staff claim they can't help because it's a third-party ticketing company. It feels like a scam; this establishment isn't worth $100 given their poor communication skills. To be honest, the food was only average during my last visit, and it certainly doesn't justify the total cost of $150 for a one-hour meal. I won't be coming back again.
