I was informed that they require... read more The food was just okay today. I was very disappointed that they did not offer the festive menu as advertised on their website. I was informed that they require 48 hours notice and do not offer the menu to walk-ins. However, I had made a reservation well in advance. Just a heads up that the festive menu may not be available as advertised.

The food is delicious, the service is quick and the staff are brilliant. Special mention to Ethan who serves us most weeks and takes our complicated orders .

The menu here is the standard Marston’s menu (with the welcome addition of pizzas) and whilst it is well cooked and always tasty, this can be found in 100s of p... read more The menu here is the standard Marston’s menu (with the welcome addition of pizzas) and whilst it is well cooked and always tasty, this can be found in 100s of pubs so it is not particularly the food that makes the Stag’s Leap exceptional. What does is the staff team lead by an outstanding manager. Whenever you visit it doesn’t matter who serves you they are always brilliant. Smartly presented, friendly, polite, welcoming and go out of their way to help without being imposing and genuinely seem to enjoy their job. Any good team needs a good leader and this seems to go right the way down. A nicely laid out pub, great staff and decent food. The prices aren’t cheap but not ridiculous and you can be sure of quality personal service. Highly recommended.
