We reached the five away last night, it's our local, but we were just a few times. it is not posh, the bar needs new flooring, but the welcome they get more tha... read more We reached the five away last night, it's our local, but we were just a few times. it is not posh, the bar needs new flooring, but the welcome they get more than does for it. we had booked a table as I wanted to know that I needed a gluten-free option. we led to our table although we were early and were presented with the menu. the only option I had was a frying chicken dinner, fortunately I adore a chicken dinner and it was very tasty and the huh was nice and damp. my mother-in-law had the cheese and potato cake, which was beautifully presented and she said, was delicious. my father-in-law decided for the fish and chips he disappeared and my man really enjoyed his hut cake, again beautifully presented. my shiny had lens soup to begin and my man had grilled cocktail, all have really enjoyed their appetizers. my man and mil had an icesonne for pudding, as they are both great ice fans that they really enjoyed again. our bill came to £64.00, which considered that 7 alcoholic drinks were very good value for money. I would recommend this little pub as they get a warm welcome and their bags will not be too much lighter, but I would like more gluten-free options. they also offer a light lunch menu.

Bar was very busy but staff were trying so hard with lack of clean cold glasses available, but if u kept your glass and had it refilled no problem! The...fundraiser was amazing with hundreds of people attending and for a small pub they did incredibly well. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to help. Great pub live sports, Sunday Dinners. Previous review was very unfair considering this was a charity day!!
