Don’t be fooled, extremely poor hygiene The host was kind enough to accommodate 4 adults and 4 children at 21:30……Little did we know The warm welcome was to dis... read more Don’t be fooled, extremely poor hygiene The host was kind enough to accommodate 4 adults and 4 children at 21:30……Little did we know The warm welcome was to disguise poor food quality and incredibly poor food hygiene We ordered 3 burgers, pasta, fish, schnitzel, kefta and Caesar salad between us 8 Our children were hungry so they ate almost half their burgers, when my daughter pointed out is was too soggy in the middle and refused to continue eating, upon inspection the frozen meat had not thawed properly Our Kefta was complete raw in the middle (for the record I eat my steak rare) so I’m not afraid of a bit of undercooking- we asked nicely to cook it a bit further, it came back really quick with a random hair on the side which we pushed away and….. You guessed it it still wasn’t thawed properly, so we put it to one side We then found raw meat in our chicken Caesar salad. When we asked the waitress/manager/owner I guess, said it must’ve been picked up from another chopping board I asked if they have separate chopping boards for different meats, she said it must’ve picked it up somehow by error as they were handling chicken on the meat board We stopped eating At this point another customer came in running (almost choking) towards the bar and threw up He choked, no problem. The problem was the waitress was carrying what was left of our order over the vomit area. At this point I said we would not pay for the cesar salad or the kefta, to which we were accused of have raw kefta remains in the Caesar salad because “we didn’t want to pay” No apologies for the raw unfrozen food, they didn’t even acknowledge someone throwing up and spitting near our food was a problem. Please avoid unless you are desperate

We visited on a weekday evening and it was pretty busy... read more Tovel is one of those places that you want to check out if you keep kosher and want to eat out in Cannes. We visited on a weekday evening and it was pretty busy. Sheva Brachas was going on but the noise level was very modest. While there was only one server the food and service was attentive. I was recovering from shoulder surgery and when my steak arrived the owner/server cut my steak for me. The food was c plus. Here's why. My wife ordered sole fish. It was not filleted. The numerous bones made it inedible. My steak was a bit over cooked but standard kosher restaurant fare. The pasta side was very good. Our Caesar salad was excellent as was our chocolate mousse dessert.
