I'd stop in every so often when here for work, and the place was always jammed. The specialties were fish, fresh and simple, and frog legs which were always a delight. It's been probably 5 years since I last took the time to reserve a dinner here. And now I'm sorry to report that La Mere Besson closed for good this past winter.

The menu is a set price menu includ... read more This is a wonderfully quirky restaurant in the centre of Cannes that resembles a Parisienne bistro. The ambience is perfect. The menu is a set price menu including drinks (a different drink with each course) but incorporates a wide choice on each course. I've been going to Cannes more than once a year for 15 years+ and this is one of my favourite restaurants.
