We had to consistently flag a waiter down in order to order drinks or anything else. The waiters were extremely rude and rushed through. We also paid for the dinner and experience package that stated we received service until 1am. The waiter refused to serve us anymore drinks after midnight. Didn’t even give us a warning. They made us move our seats. When I showed him the confirmation email he said it was wrong even though the other people around us had the same information and were under the same impression. The place is fun but the terrible service and rudeness really made the experience not worth the value

But...when we got there for our 9pm reservation they took us to a table in the bar not the restaurant. Totally different and we were on our own! I complained and was told that we should have booked for 8.30 as tables need to be given back at 10.30. But I saw them seating other people in the restaurant at the same time as us so that was a total LIE. So take my RESTAURANT booking and seat me in the restaurant. Or just tell me you’re full. But don’t give me a rubbish table in the bar and just lie.

Have been to Baoli a number of times over the years, and very often the experience has been lacking in some way or other but it has a beautiful setting so I dec... read more Have been to Baoli a number of times over the years, and very often the experience has been lacking in some way or other but it has a beautiful setting so I decided to give it one more whirl. In a nutshell… Food good but overpriced Service shockingly bad Music dire To elaborate, we sat for over an hour before our drinks arrived. Unless you are ordering Ruinart or Dom Perignon, in which case you will get red carpet treatment, as well as your national anthem played !!! prepare to be ignored. The music tends to start off really well with some disco classics and pumping tunes until about 11.30 ish but as soon as dinner is done and you actually want to dance, it turns into some kind of electro techno hell. The food is generally good but incredibly overpriced for what it is…Cannes is not cheap but this is another level of pricy. Worth paying maybe if the service was top notch and the music brilliant but otherwise…I really don’t think so. Even the stunning setting cannot make up for the rest of the lacklustre performance Baoli somehow gets away with.
