Really enjoyed the ice cream here. There is a wide selection of flavors available, all of which seem interesting and unique. The scoop size is generous and the price is fair. View all feedback.
Scooping Moose is an ice cream shop located in down town Canmore. <br/ <br/ This place has been my favorite ice cream stand in Canmore for long long time. Every time I come, I get scooping moose which is vanilla with chocolate ribbon and mini peanuts chocolate cup. I’m a big fan of this flavor. Other flavors are great too, they have weird color ones too that kids may like. <br/ <br/ They have waffle cone with dipped waffle cone options. Kids size available too. They also have soft serve too, I have never tried yet. <br/ <br/ Single is 6CAD and kids is 3CAD, I believe? Honestly it is sight seeing place pricing and the potion is just ok size. <br/ <br/ One thing I thought of mentioning is, we have to pay first and pick the flavors after. This rule isn’t very clear so every single time I come, there are people who try to order ice cream first and been asked to pay first. And those people sometimes line up at the end of the line even though they were there first, or cut the line and pay before everyone else. So i guess it’s good to remember this rule...<br/ <br/ Anyways, I recommend everyone to try this place if you are in Canmore!
Awesome crepes! I had the Saskatoon berry crepe and it was fantastic! The service was also top notch!
Tess and Alex go for Ice Cream After a Long Walk. He ordered Cookies and Cream, I ordered Mango and the Lemon Sorbet, he ditched his and tried to eat all of mine. The Lemon was the best for sure. Who doesn 't love ice-cream. <br/ <br/ They should organize their line up a bit better so you don 't have to sit and wait for people to try all the flavours when you already know what you want. I literally had to watch someone try like 8 different flavours and hum and haw over what they wanted and no one thought to go grab another order while they decided. I hate being mean but it was super annoying. <br/ <br/ anyhow sorry to sound like a 'you know what '<br/ <br/ I 'd still go back!
Very tasty ice cream. We went there during a busy hot Sunday. I must say that the ice cream was one of the best I have had in a while. The Rainbow Sherbet was refreshing and surprisingly creamy for a sherbet. Black Cherry was very creamy and delicious. I was skeptical at first, as the ice cream is made by Foothills Creamery, which is probably the most common supplier of ice cream in the local parlors. However, it was great tasting. The selection wasn't huge at this place but sometimes that's a good thing if you are with kids). Kid's cone was $2.25, I think the adult single was $3.75 but can't remember. Overall, not cheap, but not unexpected for a very touristy mountain town.Nice patio outside to sit at. Recommended.
One of two ice cream places in canmore it seems, with the other one being seasonal (hence closed majority of the time). Expect line ups but usually moves pretty quick. Flavours are limited but still rather good options. Kids tend to go for bubble gum the most. The ice cream is fairly soft and they give it in large scoops. Theres also a variety of cones (with costs associated with it). Double scoops go for $7, single $4.85, kids $3. The floats use grizzly paw soda.
