What a great spot to stop and eat in Canmore! The atmosphere was great and location downtown was walking distance to shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was served quickly, was hot and well prepared. We were there for dinner on a Saturday and the restaurant was packed, but we were seated quickly. We had the Roaming Bison, the Famous Boss Burger with poutine and the Hippy Biscuit with house salad... View all feedback.
What Kara P doesn't like about Grizzly Paw:
I thought the Nashville hot chicken wasn't hot, but my friends enjoyed the fish-and-chips and tacos. Our waitress was just okay. She said she couldn't serve us crispy fries. Oh well. View all feedback.
They used to have vegan mayo and cheese, but they stopped. the veggie patty is beautiful, but they have it without sauce and rolls. the salads are good and they can get a side of frying, but that is usually it. if they are just vegetarian, the cauliflower is amazing, but there are much better places to eat in the city! updated by the previous review on 2021-08-19
I just wanted to ask a vegan burger. they said the hate hate hated eggs?
The black bowl is no longer available. so I had the sweetburger (now vegan) but the regular and gluten-free rolls are not vegan. So I had it on a bed of salat and sprouts. I have all sauces. tahiti lemon sauce, hot sauce, sniff and hot sauce, and it was delicious enough!
The Grizzly Paw is a popular local pub/restaurant and brewery located on the main street in Canmore. I visited for dinner during my recent stay in Canmore in September 2020. After waiting about 10 minutes in line, I was able to get a seat at the bar. The restaurant was very busy during the dinner time hours and the tables and patio seating were full and had much longer wait times. Would suggest making a reservation. I ordered the vegetarian black bean burger with gluten free bun and fries, along with a local Rock Creek cider. Everything tasted fantastic! The burger patty was pretty crumbly though and was quite messy as it was falling apart. I found the prices to be a bit high. The service was friendly and efficient and I enjoyed my meal.
Barely any options for vegans. The black bean burger has eggs in it as well as their burger bun. The only option: the vegan shawarma plate is really good and fool of flavor.
