I really am not sure what to say here.. some of the food was excellent, some not at all... we ordered a burger, well done with fries and a 16oz ribeye (rare) wi... read more I really am not sure what to say here.. some of the food was excellent, some not at all... we ordered a burger, well done with fries and a 16oz ribeye (rare) with a salad and onion rings and an extra small fry... the burger was medium rare at best, they steak was medium rare, but somehow burnt on one half of the outside... I'm not talking charbroiled I'm talking it left burnt dust on the plate, almost like the grill was dirty or it was over a very hot area of open fire... the half of the steak that wasn't burnt and bitter was excellent... the onion rings that were ordered were really good and a nice portion, fries were also very good! the salad was good, wish it had more then the 1 slice of cucumber and half a slice of tomato... cucumber and tomato are not really that expensive are they? With a few more peices of each that salad would have been very good!Then let's chat about the waitress... to say that she was inattentive to our table is a gross understatement. She did come back a couple times, once to bring drinks, and once to ask about the food, and the third time when she finally realized drinks were in desperate need if refilling, one completely empty for well over 5 minutes, she was literally for a second then gone again, it took us quite some time to get a refill on our drink... watching her at her other tables, she was very attentive, joking and socializing... was there a reason we got subpar service? Was it because my husband had just gotten out of work when we met there, and hadn't had time to clean up? Were we thought to be less then for that reason? Or was it because we were not regulars? One can only guess, but it should be kept in mind that folk like us understand the value of hard work and being well looked after when we have time to go out and enjoy ourselves, after a hard dirty day at work!The bill was very reasonable for the items ordered, around the $50 mark and the tip usually would have been between 35 and 40% on a bill like this, because we believe in taking care of the folks that take care of us, and feel that the tip should reflect that... that was not the case, so the tip did reflect that so we only tipped 12%...The restaurant dinning area was clean and looked well taken care of, we cannot speak to the bar or the rest rooms as we did not go in there.All and all, we probably would not go back in there, and that is very disappointing... had things been better, this could have been the new date night location we have been looking for...

The owner was at the bar, making sure to sanitize and clean the tables, and the restaurant was filled with patrons. It was a pleasant dinner in a welcoming atmosphere where I felt right at home. I also ordered a shrimp cocktail, which was both beautiful and delicious!
