I visited this bakery coffee shop throughout my stay in Canico. They had some great cakes, pastries and bakery products which were always fresh each day. Their coffee was always good and hot and service was good. Prices very reasonable, and much better value for money than anything you'll get in the UK. Why can't we do better and better value in the UK?Would certainly recommend this padaria/bakery.

This small bakery is right next door to the Quinta Splendide. The cakes pastries and bread are exceptionally good and the prices extremely keen a quarter of what you pay down in Funchal. The staff are friendly and speak good English. The bus stop for Funchal is right outside the shop.

Its usual in Madeira to have backerys normally the people wake up soon and go pick up the bread, is nice to be there in the morning.

We are staying at the Quinta Splendida hotel 10 yards away but have enjoy, daily, fantastic, incredibly inexpensive food including breads, cakes and savouries and rich coffee from this artisan bakery. Staff are super friendly, and speak english. Fully deserving of a five-star excellence rating.
