I had grilled the Mayan styl... read more Our concierge recommended xkatik so happy he did! it was an excellent meal with good service. my man and I both had the fresh fish. I had grilled the Mayan style mahi mahi with grilled vegetables and a fresh avocado salad. he had too. the grilled mahi mahi, but with garnel, carrots, maize and mushrooms. the brot was freshly baked and we shared a dessert. it was Wednesday night and mayan dancer entertained us. we had every drink and the bill was less than $60. we're coming back!

Each time I sat at the bar at Xkat-Ik and had appeti... read more I had massages scheduled upstairs at Spa Arenas' new location, and arrived early both times during my stay. Each time I sat at the bar at Xkat-Ik and had appetizers and beer while I awaited my appointment times. The bartenders and servers were very friendly,...provided me with recommendations from the menu, gave me a tour of the small property, and generally just gave good service and made me feel welcome. I would come back to this place for a full meal next time I'm in Cancun, and for those staying at the hotels directly across the street it seems like a no-brainer to just walk across and enjoy some time here on the lagoon side. There are also some resident big fat iguanas living around this property that are fun to watch.
