Fresh, authentic, cheap! not sure whether much English is spoken, so it is a good chance to practice her Spanish. it is very casual and beautifully decorated. we went to breakfast during the week and it was packed with local no tourist. very funny place...if you're looking for a little adventure and experience a real local restaurant. everything is very affordable, so they order many different items even if they are not sure what it is.
You will find the best and authentic Mexican food in cancun and 500 miles around. they cook with the tradition of old people, is healthy, clean and tasty. Don't miss it!
At first I was taken aback by the self service style of this restaurant in the heart of Cancun, right next to the Parque las Palapas. But since I was with friends who knew the place, I went down the line and was served by...a friendly staff. The quesadillas are top-top quality made from real, home-made tortilla flour. The fare is typical Mexican: mole, stuffed Puebla chiles, soups, huaraches and other dishes of Mexican fare. All with a homemade, careful touch. I highly recommend horchata de amaranto a drink made from ground amaranth grains, something I've had no whereselse. Everything is tasty and fresh, the owner sees carefully to that. She is present and on top of everything. This has been a well known local place for years and there are lots of reasons why a place lasts long: good quality fare is high on the list. Open for breakfast and all day until early evening, I think 6 pm.
Small restaurant with authentic Mexican food. Cafeteria style service. A friend took us there. Only local people, great affordable food. Not only tacos or enchiladas. NOOO Mexican food is more than that. Try the mole.
This is a self-service place that serves good, authentic Mexican cuisine. the decor is traditional, the personal friendly, and the two of us had breakfast for about $9 us
