We arrived at Akumal beach, and were told the restaurant was good, also if you are going to the restaurant they let you in the parking lot, otherwise you'd have... read more We arrived at Akumal beach, and were told the restaurant was good, also if you are going to the restaurant they let you in the parking lot, otherwise you'd have to walk a long way to the beach.The Food:I'll start with the bad first (not really), while the Shrimp fajita wasn't bad, it was insanely overpriced (IMO) for what you get.I would recommend having the Cocconut Shrimp (5 pieces) they were great, the taste was really good, and they come with to sauces, one sweet (orange flavored), and the other more spicy.I also tried the "Mariscos Coctail" and it was excellent, actually I would advice getting this one if you are not from Mexico since I don't think you could get something similar outside of Mexico. Just keep in mind that there is raw fish in them.I also had a taste of the "Tamarindo Shrimp Tacos" again excellent, and I would also advice giving this dish I try, the tamarindo sauce is one of the best I've ever tried.The DrinksDrinks as usual are a bit expensive but that is expected from an ocean view restaurant. A beer is always a good choice.Final thoughts:Service was just OK I guess, not great, it took a while for them to ask us for drinks, and then the ordering of the food took another while.I do not consider this restaurant overpriced, as any restaurant at Boulevard Kukulcan is more expensive, however, it isn't cheap either, but you get ocean view, and you can go (before or after) to take a swim, I went like 50 meters into the ocean and saw a Turtle that was just there swimming in the sea, it was amazing, there were no waves at all so if you are going with children it is very easy to take care of the.NOTE: The adress on tripadvisor confuses me a bit (not sure if it was the adress of the place I went to) but I am reviewing the Lol-Ha at Akumal beach.

It was lovely to sit and watch the beach while having a beer! An hour or so later we came back for lunch. Being bored of general hotel food we wanted something different. My partner got the fish tacos which is more than enjoyed and i got a hotdog stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon, it was gorgeous!! While waiting we were served fresh hot tortilla chips which were so nice as well as another round of cold drinks. It was so good! They dont bother you at all, just relax and watch the view and ask for the bill when ready. 10/10!

We asked our waiter which fish tacos he would recommend the shrimp or grouper, he told us grouper. He gave us good advice, they were amazing!!!! There were (3) tacos, normally I wouldn't eat that much but I couldn't put them down!They brought out some Habanero sauce, the men tried it and BAM!! Great flavor...with that slow burn HEAT! They may have suffered for that later, lol!My advice - MUST TRY!
