First night at the Grand at the Moon Palace. Although we have been to The Grand previously, we arrived tired and hungry. We have previously enjoyed dining at Habibi, so we decided to have our first meal there. Since our last visit, the menu has been refreshed and it was absolutely sublime. We were unsure what to have, but the server Carolina was extremely helpful and very knowledgable and offered to bring us a selection of their most popular dishes. The hummus with avocado was beautiful and the fresh warm pita bread amazing. The whole meal, the service, the atmosphere was first class. There were even traditional belly dancing ladies performing and I can only describe the experience as truly enjoyable and memorable. As the meal carried on, we were brought lamb ribs, which were fantastic and some prime rib. I can only describe the prime rib as out of this world. To reiterate, the whole experience was absolutely first class. Another mention to Michelle, a server who assisted. Extremely polite and, like Carolina, couldn’t do enough, but did it in such a caring and professional way, with being over bearing. We even made the effort to speak to Felipe (I believe he was the manager) to pass our thoughts on and we also spoke with a lady called Amairani, who has the head chef and passed our compliments on. The Grand at the Moon Palace is amazing, but I feel that Habibi and the staff there deserve a special mention and full marks for going over and above to ensure an absolutely fantastic experience with amazing food. Will we return to The Grand? Yes…. Will we return to Habibi? Most definitely!
